NFL Preseason Betting – Cleveland Browns at New York Giants

The New York Giants play a home game for the first time since last December as they host the Cleveland Browns in NFL preseason betting on Monday night. The Giants won all of their playoff games last season on the road and played at Detroit last week in their preseason opener.

Cleveland opened up the NFL preseason last week by losing to the New York Jets 24-20 as 3.5 point preseason betting favorites. The Browns blew a 20-10 fourth quarter lead in that game and head coach Romeo Crennel was not very happy.

“There was some good, some bad, but ultimately we still lost the game.” he said. Starting quarterback Derek Anderson played briefly and completed 4 of 5 passes including a TD throw to Braylon Edwards. Brady Quinn also played well in relief. Edwards will not play this week against the Giants after suffering a cut on his foot that required stitches.

Monday’s NFL preseason betting game could be very bland and boring considering the two teams will meet in the regular season in October, so they may not want to show much in this preseason game.

NFL preseason betting stats show that the Giants have an 8-7 advantage in the all-time preseason series against Cleveland. The last preseason meeting was in 2005 when the Giants lost 17-14 to the Browns.

Fans of the Cleveland Browns will get to see a lot of them this season. The Browns are on prime-time television at least five times this season, not including Monday’s preseason game.
