Now James Irvin and other UFC underdogs like Brandon Vera will have their chance to share the spotlight on July 19th for UFC Fight Night. The UFC Fight Night event which was just confirmed recently features UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva against veteran MMA knockout specialist James Irvin on SPIKE TV starting at 9:00pm EST. If you plan to follow the UFC betting trends as of lately, then Fight Night could be very profitable since Bodog sportsbook currently has UFC betting odds on Irvin +350. The UFC had briefly considered the possibility of an event between Silva and the former light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell but the deal could not get done in time. Anderson “The Spider” Silva will step into the octagon defending a 22-4-0 total record including MMA fights and an undefeated 6-0 record in UFC betting odds with wins from Chris Leben, Travis Lutter, Nate Marquardt, Rich Franklin (twice) and Dan Henderson. This will be Silva’s first fight attempt at 205 pounds but it shouldn’t make much difference in UFC betting as he is considered one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world. James “The Sandman” Irvin will carry a 14-4-1 MMA record with him when he attempts to tip the UFC betting scales with his raw power. Irvin should have the confidence needed to defeat Silva with back to back wins and the winner of three out of his last four fights. Irvin’s fight with Houston Alexander ended in a record eight seconds. The under card also features; Brandon "The Truth" Vera (8-2-0) vs. Reese "Riptide" Andy (7-1-0); Hermes Franca (19-5-0) vs. Frank "The Answer" Edgar (8-1-0); Cain Velasquez (3-0-0) vs. Jake "Irish" O'Brien (10-2-0); Anthony "Rumble" Johnson (4-1-0) vs. Kevin Burns (7-1-0) and more. UFC Betting Silva vs. Irvin PredictionThe Silva vs. Irvin UFC event will be one of the best opportunities to make money on UFC betting with odds on Irvin +350 at Bodog sportsbook. Irvin will come into the fight much more comfortable at light heavyweight then will Silva but will need to land a knockout blow to put Silva down. Excellent speed, defensive skills and a rock hard chin are trademarks of Silva’s fighting style and I expect it all to be tested by Irvin on Fight Night.
