The famed Saratoga race track in New York will feature one of the biggest Grade 1 races of the summer with the $1 million 2010 Travers Stakes. A total of 11 3-year olds will run in Saratoga betting for the one and one quarter mile event. A Little Warm was the 7-2 opening favorite in horse predictions at online racebooks and will post at position 5 for grainer Anthony Dutrow and jockey John Velazquez. Trappe Shot is the second choice at 4-1 from post position 2. The trainer is Kiaran McLaughlin and the jockey is Alan Garcia. The third horse betting choices in 2010 Travers Stakes odds at 6-1 are Afleet Express from the 7 position and Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver from the 11 slot. Afleet Express is trained by James Jerkins with jockey Javier Castellano.

Arlington Park in Illinois is the site for the top Grade 1 thoroughbred race of the weekend with the famed Arlington Million odds taking place on Saturday. The mile and a quarter turf race has a Post Time set for 6:14pm EST with Gio Ponti returning to try and become only the second horse since John Henry to be a two-time Arlington Million winner in horse betting odds. The field will be comprised of a total of 10 horses and Gio Ponti has opened as a 7-5 betting favorite at online racebooks. The defending champion is trained by Christopher Clement and will be mounted by Ramon Dominguez. Gio Ponti will be in the number 6 post at the starting gate.

Saratoga betting fans will have a phenomenal Grade 1 race to handicap on Saturday with odds to win the Sword Dancer Invitational. Grand Couturier will make history by entering the Sword Dancer for the fifth consecutive time and opened as an 8-1 choice at online racebooks. Grand Couturier finished 3rd as a 3-year old in 2006, won the event in both 2007 and 2008, and finished 5th last year as the horse betting favorite. Sword Dancer odds for the Invitational from Saratoga will be a mile and a half marathon that is run on turf. The field features a lot of parity and big name jockeys. Trainer Robert Ribaudo is pleased with Grand Couturier’s condition.
