The 2012 college basketball season will come to its conclusion tonight as the Kansas Jayhawks and the Kentucky Wildcats play for the title. Tip-off is scheduled for 9:25pm EST from the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana and can be seen live on CBS. It was just a short month ago when Kansas entered March madness as 10/1 underdogs in 2012 NCAA championship game odds to win this year's tournament but then proceeded to take down the top seeds in the Midwest region including Purdue, NC State, UNC and Ohio State for the right to play for their fourth title in school history. That being said, the Jayhawks will need to find a way to stop the Wildcats who entered the tournament as 8/5 overall betting favorites and the #1 seed in the South region. The Wildcats defeated Indiana, Baylor and Louisville to play for the eighth title. Kansas vs Kentucky odds in Vegas have listed the Wildcats as 7-point favorites while the over/total is set at 138.5.

Thursday night proved to be an exciting match-up of the first eight teams fighting for spots in the elite 8 with Syracuse, Louisville, Ohio State and Florida earning their places. Friday should prove to be just as exciting when the remaining eight teams hit the floor looking to also move onto the next round. The #10 seed Xavier Musketeers will kick-off Friday's games with a 7:15pm EST scheduled tip-off on CBS against the #3 seed Baylor Bears for the right to play the winner of Kentucky vs Indiana in the South region. With the Bears one game away from winning their second regional final in the past three years, Vegas sportsbooks have listed Baylor as 6.5-point favorites in sweet 16 betting odds to defeat Xavier. Handicapping trends for tonight's Xavier Baylor game on CBS have the Bears 14-14-1 against the spread this season and 5-5 ATS in their last 10-games while the Musketeers went 12-18-3 against the spread this year and 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 games.
