The San Antonio Spurs will look to win their eleventh straight game after a 10-point win against Washington last Saturday when they start a nine game road trip at the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday night. San Antonio will look to go 9-2 SU for the head to head series against Minnesota when the two tip-off from the Target Center at 9:00 pm EST which can be seen live on ESPN. As expected, NBA predictions favor the Spurs by 4½ points at the Timberwolves while the over/under wagering total has been set at 197. The moneyline also favors San Antonio laying -190 while a surprising upset for Minnesota would payout +165 on a $100 wager.
San Antonio will tip-off at the Target Center as heavy favorites since easily defeating the Washington Wizards by a score of 96-86 last Saturday. Tony Parker led the Spurs with 19-points and 12-rebounds while Danny Green chipped in 15-points to give San Antonio their 18th straight win at home. That being said, the victory was bitter sweet as Tim Duncan left the game with a sprained knee and ankle in the first half. San Antonio won by 10-points against Washington but failed to cover the 12.5-point spread as favorites to still go a profitable 38-11 SU and 27-20-2 ATS this year. NBA predictions have the Spurs as betting underdogs since recently going 5-0 SU but are a worrisome 2-4 ATS when playing on the road.
Minnesota will take floor on Wednesday looking to turn things around after falling 98-100 to the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday. Ricky Rubio messed around for a double double consisting of 15-points and 14-rebounds while Nikola Pekovic added 13-points and 11-rebounds in the loss against Portland. The Timberwolves also failed to cover the spread as 4-point home favorites to go a dismal 18-27 SU and 20-24-1 ATS for the season. NBA predictions in Vegas have listed Minnesota as basketball betting underdogs at home since recently going 1-7 SU and an embarrassing 2-8 SU at home when playing the Spurs.
