![]() The Michigan Wolverines are about the hardest top-ranked team in the country to get a handle on prior to the regular season, resulting in plenty of debate over where they should fall on the college football predictions. This year not only will they face more pressure from opponents careful not to underestimate them, but a gauntlet of a schedule that’s among the toughest in the NCAA. It starts in Week 1 with a non-conference showdown against the Alabama Crimson Tide and carries on into yet another tough season in the Big Ten. Sprinkle in road dates with independent Notre Dame, and rival Ohio State and the hurdles are hard to miss. Not all hope is lost for the Wolverines, however. With head coach Brady Hoke now in his second year at the helm and much of the roster still in place, Michigan could even improve upon last season’s stellar campaign. With a line of 30/1 in college football predictions to win the BCS National Championship, it’s not difficult to imagine the Wolverines dominating the Big Ten Conference, but it’s far from guaranteed. Although they’ll return ace quarterback Denard Robinson and running back Fitz Toussaint, they’ll face considerable challenges against conference threats Michigan State and Wisconsin. Considering what’s at stake - a Big Ten Conference crown and even more, potentially - Michigan should make for one of the more intriguing options on the NCAA moneyline.
