2012 Kentucky Oaks Betting Odds Favor Grace Hall

Friday evening will feature the 138th running of the Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs. The morning lines were released on Thursday and as many handicappers predicted, Grace Hall is the clear favorite to win. The 3-year-old Filly by Empire Maker is owned by Michael Dubb, Bethlehem Stables and The Elkstone Group and is trained by Anthony W. Dutrow. Grace Hall will take the track on Friday breaking from the #1 post position as the 5/2 favorite in 2012 Kentucky Oaks betting odds. On the big board, Grace Hall is followed by Broadway's Alibi and On Fire Baby at 4/1, Believe You Can at 10/1 with Summer Applause, Edens Moon, Jemimas Pearl and Amies Dini at 12/1.

The horse gambling world took notice last August when Grace Hall won her MSW and then proceeded to find the winner's circle in the Spinaway G1 and Blue Hen with jockey's Jeremy Rose, Ramon Dominguez and Joseph Rocco. Although the Filly won three straight races, trainer Anthony W. Dutrow was not satisfied with the riders as he went back to Dominguez for the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies G1 and the Davona Dale G2 but was dissapointed once again as Grace Hall had to settle for 2nd place in both races. Dutrow made one more change in the saddle before the Gulfstream Oaks G2 and finally had a smile on his face as Javier Castellano rode the Filly to victory in a time of 1:49.63 around the 1 1/8-mile track. Heading into 2012 Kentucky Oaks betting odds as the 5/2 favorite, Grace Hall will have Castellano in the saddle for Friday's race with a post time of approximately 5:45pm EST.

If you are looking for a trifecta to get your Derby wagers going for this weekend, look no further than a Grace Hall, Broadway's Alibi and On Fire Baby trifecta box. Broadway's Alibi is owned by E. Paul Robsham Stable, trained by hall of famer Todd A. Pletcher and is the grandaughter of Seattle Slew. The 3-year-old Filly has been listed as a 4/1 favorite to win at Churchill on Friday from the #6 post position with John Velazquez on board after winning her last four races including the Forward Gal G2 and Comely G3. On Fire Baby is owned by Anita Cauley, trained by Gary Hartlage and is also a 4/1 favorite to win in 2012 Kentucky Oaks betting odds. The Filly has won three out of her last four races including the Honeybee G3 and Golden Rod G2 with Joe Johnson in the saddle and will take off from the #1 gate.
