![]() The HP Pavillian in San Jose, California will be the site for an exciting fight card featuring Mauricio "Shogun" Rua stepping into the octagon vs Dan "Hendo" Henderson on Saturday, November 19th. UFC 139 odds in Vegas and at online sportsbooks have listed Rua as a -130 betting favorite while Henderson would return EV money for the upset. The event can be seen live on Pay-Per-View and will also feature bouts between Silva vs Le, Faber vs Bowles, Kampmann vs Story and Bonnar vs Kingsbury. The one time light heavyweight champion Mauricio Rua will enter Saturday's fight card vs Henderson with an overall record of 20-wins, 5-losses and 0-draws. The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai specialist has had 17-knock outs, 1-submission and 2-decisions in career wins and 2-TKO's, 2-submission and 1-decision in career losses. The 29-year old "Shogun" suffered his last loss on March 19th at UFC 128 in a third round TKO vs Jon Jones in which Rua was forced to surrender the 205-lbs belt. However, he was able to bounce back at UFC 134 and have a win by knock out in the first round vs Forrest Griffin. Despite bookmakers favoring Rua to win in UFC 139 odds for the Shogun vs Henderson fight card and climbing back into the ranks as a number one contender; many of the top MMA pro's are predicting Hendo to give Mauricio one of the toughest fights of his career. Dan Henderson will take the octagon on Saturday night having 28-career wins with 8-losses and 0-draws. The Greco-Roman boxer will be fighting in his hometown vs Rua and will be carrying 13-knockouts, 2-submissions and 13-decisions in career wins with only 3-submissions and 5-decisions in career losses. "Hendo" will be looking to win his fourth straight bout after defeating Renato "Babalu" Sobral (KO) and Rafael "Feijao" Cavalcante (TKO) at Strikeforce before defeating Fedor Emelianenko (TKO) in the first round at M-1 Global back in July. Now as a betting underdog, the 41-year-old former two-division Pride Fighting champion and Team Quest co-founder has the chance to win his seventh of the last eight bouts when the bell rings for the Shogun vs Henderson fight card in San Jose. UFC Picks: Henderson in 2nd Round KO Mauricio Rua (20-5-0) vs Dan Henderson (28-8-0) |
