Wyndham Championship Odds 2011 favor David Toms

PGA tour betting will take place in North Carolina this week as the 2011 Wyndham Championships will tee-off from the Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro starting on Thursday August 18th and will run to the 21st. There will be a total purse of $5,200,000 USD at stake and a total of 500 FedExCup points. The Wyndham Championship odds in Vegas and at online sportsbooks have listed David Toms as the favorite for the tournament that can be seen live on both the Golf Channel and CBS television. The defending champion is Arjun Atwal but bookmakers have listed Toms as the 12/1 favorite to win in North Carolina.

Vegas bookmakers have also listed Bill Haas and Webb Simpson at 20/1 to win with Charles Howell III, Brandt Snedeker and Brendon De Jonge rounding out the top choices in Wyndham Championship odds for 2011 at 25/1. Despite Atwals' win last year, online sportsbooks aren't giving the 32-year-old much respect to repeat as champion with a longshot price of 125-1. David Toms will take the course on Thursday in Greensboro as the top golf betting favorite since moving up the FedExCup standing to currently sit in 8th place. Toms has had an impressive year winning the Crowne Plaza Invitational this season and also placing second at THE PLAYERS championship. Heading into Thursday's event, Toms has made 12 out of 17 cuts this season with a 69.50-scoring average for nearly $3,500,000 USD in prize money.

Heading into PGA golf betting odds for this week at the Sedgefield Country Club as the 12/1 favorite, Toms has been in the top-10 six times this season with 10-top twenty-five showings. Bill Haas is one of the second choices to win in North Carolina as a 20/1 favorite having finished six times in the top-10 this season and will be playing in his backyard as a Charlotte native. The 29-year old has made 18-cuts this year out of 21-tournaments played with 2-second place finishes and 9-top 25 showings. Haas finished second in both the Bob Hope and Greenbrier Classics but is still looking for his first win of the season. Webb Simpson has also been listed at 20/1 in 2011 Wyndham Championship odds having made 16-cuts out of 19-tournaments played this season with 6-top ten finishes and 14-top 25 finishes.

Heading into PGA golf betting odds for this week as one of the top three choices, Simpson has maintained a 69.69% driving accuracy for an average distance of 297.7-yards. Charles Howell III has been listed as a 25/1 favorite and is currently ranked #28 in the world with 5-top ten and 12-top 25 showings this season. Brandt Snedeker and Brendon de Jonge have also been listed as 25/1 favorites in Vegas odds with as Snedeker will be looking for his second win of the season as the 18th ranked player in the world since winning The Heritage while de Jonge enters this week's action ranked #48 in FedExCup point standings having 3-top ten and 10-top twenty five finishes this season.
