2011 World Series of Poker - Week 4 Results

The fourth week of the 2011 World Series of Poker* tournaments are officially in the books as the fifth week of action begins at the Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. Week 4 results handed out 11-WSOP* bracelets for Events 30 through 41. The 2011 World Series results from week 4 had plenty of International poker players winning their first bracelets while American players continue to show their dominance. US amateur James Hess won the $1,000 Seniors No-Limit Hold'em to start the week over 3,752-players for the $557,435 first place prize.

The state of Nevada was already proud of 23-year-old US pro Sam Stein who has won $2,881,097 from live tournaments but can now add a 2011 World Series of Poker bracelet to his collection winning Event #31, the $3,000 Pot Limit Omaha. Stein outlasted a field of 685-players for the $420,802 prize. Canadian flags were waiving high at the conclusion of the $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em as amateur Kirk Calwell won event #32 over three days for the bracelet and the $668,276 firs place prize. Event #33 saw an exciting battle as "the poker brat" Phil Hellmuth went for his record 12th World Series of Poker bracelet in the $10,000 Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo event. After three days of action, Hellmuth faced US amateur Eric Radowig heads-up at the final table which saw the 26-year-old banker take down Hellmuth, a bracelet and $442,183.

US poker pro Mark Schmid outlasted a strong field of 3,144-players to win the $1,000 No Limit Hold'em event for the $488,283 pay-day US pro Jason Mercier held on in Event #35 to win the $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Six Handed tournament. Mercier defeated a field of 507-players over three days of action for his second career bracelet and the $619,575 prize. Vodka glasses were being toasted in the air at the conclusion of the $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em event as pro Mikhail Lakhitov won his first WSOP bracelet and will be taking home $749,610 back to his comrades. The winning continued for International players as week 4 results saw a Frenchman win the famed $10,000 H.O.R.S.E Championship. French pro Fabrice Soulier won his first bracelet in Event #37 and took home the $609,130 top prize.

Week 4 results of the 2011 World Series of Poker continued into Event #38 as Ukrainian pro Arkadiy Tsinis outlasted 2,192-poker player over three days to win his first career bracelet and a nice $540,00 pay-day. The Americans got back to their winning ways as US pro Mitch Schock defeated a field of 606-players in the $2,500 Pot-Limit Hold'em/Omaha tournament for his first bracelet at the 2011 World Series of Poker and a $310,225 prize. The Canadians were cheering loud once again for Event #40 as pro Matt Jarvis won the $5,000 Six-Max No Limit Holdem tournament over 732-players for the $808,538 first place prize. US pro Justin Pechie ended the week4 results with a bracelet in the $1,500 Limit Hold'em Shootout. Pechie took down a field of 538-players for the $167,060 pay-day.
