![]() PGA Tour betting continues beginning on Thursday with 2010 BMW Championship odds from Cog Hill Golf & Country Club in Lamont, IL. A purse of $7.5 million will be on the line with a winning share of $1.35 million. Online sportsbooks have opened with Tiger Woods as a +600 favorite despite the fact that he has not won a single tournament at all for 2010. Steve Stricker was the 2nd choice at +1200 followed by Phil Mickelson at +1500. Jim Furyk has opened at +2000 followed by Matt Kuchar and Adam Scott as +2500 choices at online sportsbooks. Although Woods is the golf betting favorite to win the BMW championships, Dustin Johnson +2500 and Rory McIlroy +2000 could hold some value in odds for this week's PGA Tour. Woods did perform better in last week’s Deutsche Bank as he finished 11th with a strong shot at a top ten. He has won five events at Cog Hill and his short game looks to be coming back into vintage form. He climbed from 65th to 51st in the standings. Stricker has just one top ten finish at Cog Hill but has been in the top ten in both playoff events. He ranks 3rd in playoff points heading into this weekend. Kuchar was 11th in the Deutsch Bank last week as well but still leads the FedExCup race in points and has putted well. He was 10th in last year’s BMW. Heading into 2010 BMW championship odds and predictions, Scott has top ten finishes in three out of his last four starts. His best PGA Tour betting finish at Cog Hill was 4th in 2007. Scott moved up from 19th to 15th in the playoff race. Johnson fell from 6th place to 16th after a rough go of it at the Deutsch Bank. Mickelson has continued to struggle since winning The Masters in April. He fell from 10th to 14th in the standings. Furyk has dropped from 8th to 11th while McIlroy is in 28th position. |
