2010 Deutsche Bank Odds

The FedExCup Playoffs continue this week with 2010 Deutsche Bank odds from TPC Boston, Norton, Massachusetts. A total purse of $7.5 million and 2,500 FedExCup points will be on the line with action set to begin Thursday morning. The Golf Channel and NBC will telecast the event with Steve Stricker as the defending champion. Online sportsbooks opened with Tiger Woods as the +500 PGA Tour betting favorite with Stricker next at +1000. Phil Mickelson and Rory McIlroy were next at +1500 with Dustin Johnson at +1800 and Matt Kuchar at +2000. Jim Furyk and Paul Casey opened at +2500 with Padraig Harrington a +3000 golf betting choice.

Woods somehow continues to lead the Official World Golf Ranking by a fraction over Mickelson. Woods did show improved play last week with a 12th place finish in golf betting odds at The Barclays but is yet to win a tournament this year. His best finish so for was 4th at both The Masters and the US Open. Mickelson has not exactly lit it up either since winning The Masters last April. Mickelson has actually finished out of the top 25 in 7 out of 27 events and has been inconsistent for most of the year. Outside of his win he did best at the Wells Fargo Championship with a second place finish.

Stricker is 4th on the Official World Golf Ranking and has won two events this year at the Northern Trust Open and at the John Deere Classic. Stricker finished 3rd at The Barclays and enters this week with momentum. McIlroy is 7th on the Official World Golf Ranking. The Irishman has one win this year at the Wells Fargo Championship along with two 3rd place finishes in majors at the British Open and the PGA Championship. Johnson is 24th on the Official World Golf Ranking and was the winner of the AT&T Pebble Beach. He also fined 5th in the PGA and 8th in the US Open.
