Steelers vs Broncos Odds

Week 3 of NFL preseason betting action will conclude Sunday night with a FOX TV matchup of potential AFC playoff teams as the Denver Broncos host the Pittsburgh Steelers. Kick-off is at 8:00pm EST and online sportsbooks have Pittsburgh as a 2.5-point road favorite on the road vs Denver with an over/under total of 37. The injury battered Denver Broncos are 0-2 both straight up and against the spread in NFL betting for the preseason and are coming off a 25-20 home loss to the Detroit Lions heading into week 3. Starting QB Kyle Orton was sharp for Denver as he went 16-22 for 177 yards and 2 TD’s as rookie sensation Tim Tebow did not see action due to bruised ribs. His status for this matchup on Sunday night football is uncertain.

About the only good news out of Denver has been that All Pro left tackle Ryan Clady is back in camp after missing work due to a knee injury suffered in a winter pickup basketball game. Clady was practicing but many other key Broncos are out for week 3 NFL preseason odds including top draft pick Demaryius Thomas, a wide receiver. Top running back Correll Buckhalter was on the mend but LenDale White, the other top back, remained out. Denver has key injuries throughout the lineup and has been forced to juggle rotations as a result.

The Steelers have won and covered in NFL preseason betting odds including last week at the New York Giants 24-17. Although number one QB Ben Roethlisberger saw action against the Giants the Steelers are focused on getting most reps to number two man Byron Leftwich, who will start during Roethlisberger’s 6 game regular season suspension to begin the year and third stringer Dennis Dixon who has earned some time with the first team for tonight's game said coach Mike Tomlin this week. Leftwich was 3-6 for 95 yards and a TD while Dixon was 7-8 for 82 yards along with 27 more yards on the ground in week 2.
