![]() 2010 NFL preseason odds resumes with the start of week 3 on Thursday night as the Green Bay Packers host the Indianapolis Colts. Kick-off is set for 8:05pm EST for the game that can be seen live on ESPN. Online sportsbooks have opened with Green Bay as 4-point favorite vs the Colts and an over/under total of 44.5. The Packers are coming off a 27-24 win and payout over Seattle as 2.5-point road underdogs to improve their preseason picks record to 1-1 both straight up and against the spread in NFL preseason betting while both of their exhibitions have gone over the total. Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers was in Pro Bowl form at Seattle as he went 8-11 for 116 yards with 2 touchdowns. The Packers have not allowed a sack of Rodgers in the preseason and also ran for 174 yards against Seattle. Brandon Jackson led all ball carriers with 80 yards on 11 carries. Rodgers had high praise for the line. “It starts with those guys up front,” said Rodgers. “They’re protecting well and we’re able to move the pocket and run the ball effectively when we have too.” Defense, however, continues to be a concern for Green Bay as they struggled to contain a Seattle offense that was ranked near the bottom of the NFL last year. The Packers did have 4 starters missing from action and had to juggle the line-up. Despite the Packers performance in NFL preseason betting action, defensive coordinator Dom Capers is trying to find positives. “We did end up for four three-and-outs and had to the two big interceptions at critical times,” said Capers. “It’s harder to evaluate from a team standpoint when you have so many different parts in there.” The Colts are coming off a 21-34 loss at Buffalo and are 0-2 both straight up and ATS heading into preseason week 3 NFL odds with both games going over. Indianapolis has been one of the worst teams on the board in preseason with a mark of 4-10 ATS since 2007. |
