UFC 118 Odds: Fight Card and UFC Betting Predicitons

UFC 118 odds at online sportsbooks will feature a fight card that is headlined by the lightweight championship fight between defending champion Frankie “The Answer” Edgar versus challenger BJ “The Prodigy” Penn while there will also be a heavyweight bout that includes a champion of – BOXING! Current IBA and NABO heavyweight boxing champion James “Lights Out” Toney will step into the octagon for the very first time to face legend Randy “The Natural” Couture. It is interesting to note that challenger Penn opened at sportsbooks as a -350 prohibitive favorite in UFC betting odds for the lightweight title bout against Edgar who opened as a +250 underdog.

The UFC 118 lightweight championship fight card is a rematch from the 112 event on April 12th of this year when Edgar scored a unanimous decision win. Couture is an even bigger favorite in UFC predictions as he has opened at a whopping -700 for his bout against the 41-year old rookie Toney who opened as a +450 underdog. Three other bouts are on the main fight card include lightweight action with Kenny “KenFlo” Florian taking on Gray “The Bully” Maynard. Online sportsbooks have opened with Florian as a -160 betting favorite while Maynard is a +130 underdog.

In welterweight action on the UFC 118 fight card, Nate Diaz will match-up with Marcus “The Irish Hand Grenade” Davis. Online sportsbooks have opened with Diaz as a -210 betting favorite in UFC 118 predictions with Davis as a +165 underdog. In middleweight action Demian Maia will face Mario Miranda but no lines were posted at the opening. There are two preliminary lightweight bouts on Spike TV. Joe Lazon will take on Gabe Ruediger while Andre Winner will take on Nick “The Carnie” Letz. There was no opening line for Lazon vs Ruediger while online sportsbooks have opened with Winner as a -130 betting favorite and Letz at EV money.
