![]() The Kansas City Chiefs enter the season with hopes of dramatic improvement after a 4-12 season last year and their 2010 NFL schedule sets up to make that possible. Kansas City will open the newly refurbished Arrowhead Stadium on September 13th in an AFC West Monday Night showdown against the San Diego Chargers, one of the NFL betting favorites in odds to win the AFC conference. That is followed by a winnable game at the Cleveland Browns on September 19th and then a home game against the San Francisco 49ers on September 26th. Online sportsbooks have the Chiefs 100-1 longshots in 2011 Super Bowl odds to win the championship, 50-1 to win the AFC conference and have an over/under regular season win total of 6.5 OVER (-120). The Chiefs then have an early week 4 bye this year and will resume the 2010 NFL schedule on October 10th with a game at the AFC champion Indianapolis Colts. Kansas City will then travel to Houston to take on the Texans October 17th. The Jacksonville Jaguars visit Arrowhead on October 24th and then their old time AFL rival Buffalo Bills will come calling to KC on October 31st to make for a second consecutive winnable game. The Chiefs renew their rivalry with the Oakland Raiders in a November 7th road game and then travel to face another AFC West rival, the Denver Broncos on November 14th. The Arizona Cardinals will visit Arrowhead on November 21st and then the Seattle Seahawks will host the Chiefs on November 28th before the Denver Broncos visit on December 5th to close out a stretch of 5 winnable games for Kansas City. The final quarter of the Chiefs 2010 NFL schedule begins with a tough rematch at the San Diego Chargers on December 12th followed by a game at St. Louis against a Rams team that was 1-15 in in NFL odds last year on December 19th. The Tennessee Titans come calling to KC on December 26th and a classic Oakland Raiders vs Chiefs match-up will be the finale for the 2010 NFL schedule at Arrowhead on January 2nd. |
