Fans and golf betting handicappers are getting excited with one of the biggest events on the EPGA Tour about to start. The 3 Irish Open from the Killarney Golf & Fishing Club in Ireland begins on Thursday and runs through Sunday. As one would expect Irish and English players are the main favorites in 3 Irish Open odds. Rory McIlroy opened as the EPGA tour betting favorite at online sportsbooks to win at 11-2 followed by Graeme McDowell and Justin Rose at 14-1 with Francesco Molinari, Padraig Harrington and Ross Fisher at 18-1. Rhys Davies is listed at 2-1 with Darren Clarke, Shan Lowry and Stephen Gallacher 33-1 longshots. McIlroy is ranked 8th on the Official World Golf Ranking and has made the cut in 7 out of 11 events this year with a win at Quail Hollow and a 3rd place golf betting finish in the British Open. He has stated his deep desire to win his homeland’s big event. Heading into 3 Irish Open odds for 2010, McDowell is ranked 10th on the Official World Golf Ranking and is best known for winning the US Open this summer. He was also a winner at the Tavistock Cup and finished 6th at the World Golf Championships-CA Championship. Rose is 18th in the Official World Golf Ranking and has made the cut in 12 out of 16 events this year with tour wins in The Memorial and the AT&T National and finished 3rd in the Honda Classic. Bet Rory McIlroy 11-2 as the EPGA Tour betting favorite in 3 Irish Open odds for 2010 with a 10% bonus. Harrington is confident of victory although he has not won a European Tour event since he won the PGA Championship in 2008 although he has been consistent with 14 top ten finishes in the past year. He won the Irish Open 3 years ago and is running out of patience. “I’ve had more top tens in the last year than I’ve ever had in my career, so going on a guideline that most people use I’ve actually had the best year of my career,” said Harrington, a Dubliner. In PGA tour betting for this week, the Greenbrier Classic will tee off in West Virginia on Thursday with Jim Furyk 14-1 as the golf betting favorite. Bet Graeme McDowell 14-1 in 3 Irish Open odds which can be seen on the Golf Channel and Sky Sports. Bodog has McIlroy 11-2 and McDowell 14-1 as EPGA Tour betting favorites in 3 Irish Open odds for 2010. Didn't find what you were looking for? Try our sports search for thousands of betting articles.
