![]() It took an 0-6 start to the 2009 season for the Tennessee Titans to solve their quarterbacking problems and finish with 8 wins in their final 10 games to avoid a losing season in NFL picks and enter the 2010 campaign with plenty of momentum. Vince Young took over for Kerry Collins at the bye week last year by order of owner Bud Adams and enters NFL odds for the 2010 season as the starter of whom much is expected. If Young can deliver the Titans may end up as a surprise division winner, at the least. Tennessee opened at online sportsbooks as a 27-1 betting choice in NFL predictions to win the Super Bowl with an over/under win total of 8 OVER (-125). Tennessee only got the cash in 6 games last year and went OVER the NFL betting odds total in 9 out of 16 games. They finished 12th in total offense and a most alarming 28th in total defense, which was another issue that they had to address under first year defensive coordinator Chuck Cecil last year. Cecil is expected to be more aggressive in 2010 but will have holes to fill due to roster departures led by lineman Kyle Vanden. Young is far from the only weapon in the Tennessee arsenal as running back Chris Johnson was the 2009 NFL Offensive Player of the Year after rushing for 2,006 yards and caught 50 passes for 503 more yards for a total of 16 touchdowns. Head coach Jeff Fisher led the Titans to the number one seed in NFL picks for the AFC in 2008 only to be upset at home in the playoffs by Baltimore. The offense looks loaded and if the defense can be shored up this is a team that could bounceback as a strong value play on the board. |
