West Virginia Final Four Odds 2010

The West Virginia Mountaineers are now at 2-1 to win the NCAA tournament in Final Four odds 2010 this weekend at Indianapolis as they are the hottest team in the field with a 10 game straight up winning streak and have payed out in five out of their last seven games including four straight. West Virginia beat Morgan State in the first round of the Big Dance 77-50 as 17 point favorites in college basketball odds. Morgan State was unable to solve the West Virginia defense and hit on just 29.5% of their shots. Kevin Jones had 17 points and 8 rebounds while Devin Ebanks had 16 points and 13 rebounds for the Mounties.

West Virginia handled Missouri in the second round 68-59 as 6 point favorites as Da‘Sean Butler led the Mounties with 38 points and 8 rebounds. Again the West Virginia defense was suffocating as it held Mizzou to a 32.8% field goal mark. West Virginia next beat Washington in the Sweet Sixteen round 69-56 as Kevin Jones led them in scoring with 18 points while Da’Sean Butler added 14.

In their Elite Eight showdown with Kentucky the Mountaineers carried the play and were the sharper team as they scored a 73-66 payout as 4 point dogs. Da’Sean Butler led the Mounties with 18 points while Joe Mazzulla had 17. Kentucky was held to just 34.3% shooting by the West Virginia defense. The Mountaineers won the Big East Tournament championship in the weekend prior to the Big Dance and has considerable momentum and confidence heading into the final four. They are playing their best basketball of the season while their defense, which was one of the top units in the country, is dominating and frustrating opponents. The Mounties opened as 3-point underdogs in 2010 Final Four odds for their match-up against the Duke Blue Devils.
