2010 NCAA tournament action continues with the Ohio Bobcats taking on the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday at 3:35pm EST from the Dunkin Donuts Center in a game that can be seen on CBS. March madness picks at online sportsbooks have Tennessee 8-point favorites against Ohio with a college basketball betting total of 141. In one of the most thrilling upsets of the first round, Ohio defeated Georgetown 97-83 on Thursday night. The Bobcats were a whopping 14-point underdog against the Hoyas while the total was sitting at 140. Armon Basset led the way for the Bobcats netting a game high 32-points to give Ohio their first NCAA tournament win in 27 years. D.J. Cooper also netted 23-points and eight assists in the first round victory. "We may not be a better team, just got to be a better team on a given night," Bassett said after the game. Heading into today's match-up, Ohio is 8-2 when playing on Saturday and 7-3 after a win. Many brackets could be busted once again if the Bobcats can pull off another upset and should have confidence going 5-0 straight up in their last five games. The Volunteers almost joined the list of upsets in the first round but held on to defeat San Diego State 62-59. Tennessee won but couldn't cover as 3-point favorites in March madness picks which resulted in a push while the college basketball betting total went UNDER the 129.5 set at online sportsbooks. It was a sweet victory for Tennessee head coach Bruce Pearl as he celebrated his 50th birthday. J.P. Prince and Melvin Goins led the way for the Volunteers netting 15-points each in the victory. "The toughest one sometimes is the first one, it really is," said Pearl after the game. "And especially when you go up against a team as good as San Diego State." |
