Syracuse is favored in March madness picks and odds against Gonzaga for Sunday's game on CBS.

The fans at HSBC Arena will be treated to a game between the Gonzaga Bulldogs and the Syracuse Orange when they take their seats on Sunday afternoon at 12:10pm EST in a game that can be seen on CBS. March madness picks have Syracuse a 7-point favorite in college basketball odds against Gonzaga at online sportsbooks with the total sitting at 150. Gonzaga was outplayed in the second half but managed to hang on and defeat Florida State 67-60 in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Friday. Gonzaga won that game as a slight 1.5-point favorite while the 127 points went UNDER the posted total of 132 at online sportsbooks.

Matt Bouldin had 17 points and nine rebounds to lead the way for the number eight seed Bulldogs while Steven Gray chipped in with 15 points to lead Gonzaga into the second round against the number one seed Syracuse. "We play in so many big games like that all across the country that they're essentially NCAA tournament games really," Bouldin said after the win. "But after the game, I'm not really thinking about all those other games we had. I'm just really happy about this victory." Heading into Sunday's match-up, Gonzaga is 7-3 after a win, 8-2 when playing on Sunday and 19-3 straight up in their last 22 games.

Wes Johnson went for 18 points and seven rebounds as Syracuse defeated Vermont 79-56 in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Friday. Syracuse covered the 15.5-point spread in college basketball odds while the 135 points went UNDER the posted total of 144.5 at online sportsbooks. Scoop Jardine had 14 points for Syracuse and Rick Jackson added 12 in the win. The Orange held Vermont to only 25 first half points and 31 second half points to secure the first round win. "Going to practice, that was our emphasis, to focus on the defensive end, get out and play defense like we did at the beginning of the year," Johnson said after the game. "I think the whole week of practice that we had to prepare for this game it helped us go into this game to step up on defense."
