![]() Drivers will be bumping and banging on Sunday in Food City 500 odds at Bristol Motor Speedway. Short track racing is always exciting when it comes to NASCAR betting and it also can cause drivers to get upset because there is very little room to pass. Bristol made changes to the track for this year and the racing room is going to be even less. "If you want to see sparks fly, this might be the thing that does that," Jeff Gordon said. It used to be that drivers could race side by side at Bristol but that might not be the case as much this time. "I liked the two-wide racing," Clint Bowyer said. "I still think you'll be able to do it. I don't think it will change much. It is going to narrow it up. It seems like the fans, they like the emotion, they like the beating and banging on each other and having to knock somebody out of the way to pass them.” Kyle Busch is a slight favorite to win this in Food City 500 odds at online sportsbooks as he is listed at 7-1 and Kurt Busch is listed at 5-1. Kyle Busch won both of the races at Bristol last year. He has led 861 of his past 1,503 laps at Bristol. “We're looking forward to it,” Busch said, “We feel like we've got a good baseline setup that runs well there. We're hoping for some magic to come back and hopefully get us back into victory lane.” The 2010 Food City 500 can be seen on FOX television beginning at approximately 1:00 pm EST on Sunday. NASCAR betting has Kyle Busch 7-1 for the 2010 Kobalt Tools 500 on FOX. Denny Hamlin is a co-favorite at 11-1 in Food City 500 odds. Hamlin was the points’ leader last year at the short tracks as he had five Top 5 finishes. His average finish was 4.2 in the six short track races a year ago. Jimmie Johnson is 11-2 in NASCAR betting odds. Bristol has never been any good for Johnson as he has just three Top 5 finishes in 16 starts. Mark Martin is 12-1, Kevin Harvick is 14-1 and Jeff Gordon is listed at 8-1. Martin was second in terms of laps led at Bristol last year behind Busch. He has been on the pole nine times at Bristol in 42 career starts. Kevin Harvick is the points’ leader heading into NASCAR odds for this week’s race at Bristol. He has 11 Top 10s and nine Top Fives in 18 Bristol starts. He was not very good last year though as he finished 30th and 38th. Gordon has 20 Top 10s and 14 Top Fives in 34 Bristol starts. |
