NCAA Men's Basketball East Bracket Predictions

The Kentucky Wildcats are 3-2 favorites in March madness odds to win the East region in 2010 NCAA tournament East bracket predictions.

The East Region of the 2010 NCAA men's basketball tournament features two very good teams in Kentucky and West Virginia. They are getting the bulk of the attention in March madness odds as online sportsbooks have Kentucky at 3-2 to win in East bracket predictions while West Virginia is 2-1. If things go according to form they would meet in the Elite Eight. Kentucky is the top seed and the most talented team in the region. They are very young though. They have two of the best young players in the country in John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins and an excellent head coach in John Calipari. The Wildcats will be looking for their 14th Final Four appearance and their first since 1998.

The NCAA men's East bracket predictions are set up pretty well for them as they should handle East Tennessee State easily in the first round before facing the winner of Texas and Wake Forest in round two. West Virginia doesn’t have as much talent as Kentucky but they do have a very good player in Da’Sean Butler. Bob Huggins is an excellent coach and the Mountaineers are capable of winning this region. They may not get much of a test before the Elite Eight as New Mexico looks to be their only real threat. Wisconsin is the only other team with single-digits odds to win since the NCAA tournament East bracket predictions have them at 15-2.

The Badgers can play defense but they are not that great on offense and it is hard to see them coming out of this region. All of the other teams in the region have double-digit March madness odds. New Mexico is getting no respect at 15-1 even though they are the third seed. Wisconsin has lower odds as the fourth seed. Temple has an interesting team and they have winnable games against Cornell and then probably against Wisconsin. They might be able to give Kentucky a game. The Owls are 18-1 to win the region. Marquette is the sixth seed in NCAA men's East bracket predictions but they don’t have the talent to win the region.

Clemson is an overrated ACC team so they are unlikely to win more than one game. Texas is seeded 8th and they have the talent to win the region but they have so many chemistry issues and they have been terrible since earlier this season when they were ranked #1. Rarely can a team just turn on the switch and win but the Longhorns do have the players. Wake Forest is going nowhere as the 9th seed while Missouri is at least interesting as a ten seed. Washington and Cornell are capable of winning a game while Wofford, Montana, Morgan State and East Tennessee State probably won’t get out of the first round.
