NASCAR Betting Odds: Shelby American at Las Vegas

Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch are favorites in NASCAR betting odds for the Shelby American on Sunday.

NASCAR betting odds are getting ready to roll the dice in Las Vegas on Sunday at 3:00pm EST with the Shelby American that can be seen on FOX. After the first two races of the season it is the Richard Childress cars that lead the standings but Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer are not among the favorites this week in NASCAR betting odds. Harvick has never won in Vegas and has just three Top-10s in nine starts. Bowyer was second in this race last year but it was just his first Top-10 finish at Vegas.

Greg Biffle is third in the standings and he has never won in NASCAR betting odds at Las Vegas. Roush Fenway Racing has six wins in twelve races at Vegas though so Biffle is an interesting longshot at 15-1. Jamie McMurray 50-1 is fourth in the standings but he has just three Top-10 finishes at Las Vegas. Jeff Burton is fifth in the standings and he has won twice in 12 starts in Vegas. He has eight top-10s in 12 starts at the track and is a definite contender even though he is 14-1 at online sportsbooks. The 2010 NASCAR Shelby American can be seen on FOX television beginning at approximately 3:00 pm EST on Sunday.

Last week’s winner Jimmie Johnson is the 5-1 favorite at online sportsbooks. Johnson won this race in 2005, 2006 and in 2007 but he was outside the Top 20 the last two years. It is hard to bet against Johnson right now but at 5-1 there is not a lot of value. Last year’s winner of this race, Kyle Busch is the co-second choice at 7-1. He has four Top-10’s in six starts and is always a contender at his hometown track. Mark Martin has nine Top-10s in 12 starts but last year he finished 40th due to engine failure. He is the third choice in NASCAR betting odds at 8-1. Bet Jimmie Johnson 5-1 as the favorite for the 2010 Shelby American on FOX with up to a 10% deposit bonus!

Jeff Gordon has a win and five top-fives in 12 starts at Las Vegas. He was sixth last year. He is the fourth choice in NASCAR odds at 9-1. Gordon could use a good finish this weekend considering he has struggled in the first two races this season. “We’ve had fast, competitive cars in the first two events,” Gordon said. “We just don’t have good finishes to show for it.” If you are looking for a solid longshot then you should consider Carl Edwards. He won this race two years ago and the Roush cars have usually excelled in this race. Roush really could use a win since they have not won a race since last October. Edwards is 18-1 in NASCAR betting odds.

Bodog has Johnson 5-1 and Busch 7-1 as favorites in NASCAR betting odds for the Shelby American.
