![]() So far... Vegas sports odds has released the 2010 Super Bowl lines and betting props for such events as the MVP, total sacks, interceptions, the coin toss and alternate point-spreads. In our third edition of NFL betting props for Super Bowl XLIV, we will focus on the first score of the game, turnovers, first downs and the last score of the game. Super Bowl lines at online sportsbooks, have the Colts -5 against the Saints in NFL betting odds with a total of 57 for Sunday's game with a start time of 6:00pm EST. The Colts with Peyton Manning have been electric on offense this year finding the end zone 53 times during the regular season while holding opponents to only 31 touchdowns. Drew Brees and the Saints put up more points than the Colts with 64 touchdowns and allowed opponents to score 37 touchdowns which is why Super Bowl lines at online sportsbooks slightly favor the Saints 5/2 in to score the first passing touchdown of the game over the Colts who are 53/20 in NFL betting props. But what if the first score of the game is a field goal or safety? Super Bowl lines are predicting that a touchdown -180 will in fact be the first score of the game while a field goal or safety is an underdog at +150. Out of all the NFL betting props for Super Bowl XLIV, betting on a field goal to be the first score of the game seems to be one of the most profitable. For every $100 bet on a field goal or safety to be the first score, online sportsbooks will pay back $150. Both teams would have to play a perfect game not to turnover the ball which is why Super Bowl lines have a fumble 5/4 favored to be the first turnover in the big game followed by an interception 20/31 and no turnovers 8/1. During the regular season, the Colts had a total of 339 first downs while allowing opponents to get at least 10-yards 320 times. The Saints once again did slightly better with 348 first downs during the regular season and holding opponents to 310. This is another case of an NFL betting prop where the Super Bowl lines favor the Colts even the Saints have proven to done better. Indianapolis is favored -2 (-105) over New Orleans +2 (-125) to have the most first downs in the game. If all the other NFL betting props fail you on Sunday, gamblers can always load up on the last score of the game. Once again, a touchdown is favored at -200 while a field goal or safety would return +160. Will the team that scores last win the big game? Online sportsbooks think so, favoring the Yes -190 and the No +155 in 2010 Super Bowl lines. |
