The Atlanta Hawks will try and continue their recent home dominance of the Chicago Bulls in NBA lines as the teams meet on Friday night at 8:00pm EST in a game that can be seen on ESPN. The Hawks have won eight of the last nine at home overall in NBA odds and they blew out the Bulls at Philips Arena back in December by a score of 118-83. Atlanta is an 8.5-point road favorite in NBA picks at online sportsbooks against the Bulls with a total of 197.
The Bulls are in the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference but they have not played well in their last two games, losing at home to the Clippers on Tuesday and at Philadelphia 106-103 in overtime as 2-point favorites in NBA lines on Wednesday. "We didn't have the energy we've had in past road games," said guard John Salmons, "We have to make sure we stay focused from beginning to end." The Bulls have lost their last four games in Atlanta including that blowout in early December. Jamal Crawford had 29-points for the Hawks in that win.
Chicago bounced back at the United Center later in December to win in overtime 101-98 over the Hawks as Derrick Rose scored 32-points. Joe Johnson had 40 points for Atlanta in that loss. Johnson has been playing very well of late as he is averaging 25.5-points over his last 12 games. He had 37 on Tuesday in a loss at Oklahoma City and 34 in Wednesday’s win over the Clippers but still couldn't cover the 9.5 point-spread in NBA lines. "It's ridiculous how much he was scoring," said Al Horford, "He just goes about it like a business." The Bulls are 5-1 in their last 6 road games. The Bulls are 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games as an underdog. The Bulls are 7-2 ATS in NBA picks for their last 9 vs. Eastern Conference.
