2010 Super Bowl Betting Lines - NFL Odds and Props

2010 Super Bowl betting lines and props for the big game in Miami on Sunday.

As we get closer to 2010 Super Bowl betting on Sunday February 7th from Miami Florida, online sportsbooks as well as Vegas NFL odds are slowly starting to drop. Opening Super Bowl betting odds at online sportsbooks had the Colts -6 with a total of 56.5 but with the big game just days away, the Colts have dropped to 5-point favorites and one online sportsbook even has the Colts down to -4.5. Most Vegas NFL odds have the Colts -5 against the Saints but Caesars is still holding onto the Colts -5.5. Although 2010 Super Bowl XLIV betting lines seem to be dropping, it is quite an increase from the opening Vegas odds.

When the Super Bowl betting lines first came out, the opening Vegas NFL odds had the Colts -4 with a betting total of 52. That was obviously immediately after the AFC-NFC championships and sportsbooks had no clue the amount of Super Bowl betting action they would receive but it is quite obvious that most gamblers are loading up on the Colts. “Although the NFL odds for Super Bowl XLIV seem to be dropping, don’t be fooled as most online sportsbooks and especially in Vegas are simply trying to balance the wagers,” said Bishop Whitmore, Editor in Chief of Vegas sports odds.

In addition to betting on the Colts and Saints NFL odds, many online sportsbooks are seeing heavy action on all the crazy Super Bowl prop betting lines that are available. Gamblers love wagering on such events as the coin toss, who will win the MVP and alternate point-spreads. Colts quarterback Peyton Manning is the overwhelming favorite in 2010 Super Bowl MVP prop bets at -200 followed by Saints quarterback Drew Brees who is +300 in NFL odds. Other prop bets include who the Super Bowl MVP winner will thank first with God as the favorite followed by family.

One of the most important aspects of the Super Bowl each year is the half time commercials and this year will not disappoint unless of course you were looking forward to seeing one of the banned commercials that will not air. Companies such as GoDaddy and Doritos have had certain ads banned and will not air during the Super Bowl halftime due to questionable material. Although it wasn’t too long ago that Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson shared her deflated and star studded breast with the world due to a “wardrobe malfunction” but as always, CBS has their reasons. Super Bowl props are also available to bet on which commercial will have a higher rating with Budweiser and Coca-Cola the favorites. Super Bowl XLIV betting is scheduled to kick off from the Sun Life stadium in Miami, Florida with a start time of 6:00pm EST and can be seen on CBS.
