The AFC-NFC Pro Bowl will be held on Sunday, making it the first time ever that the game is being held before the Super Bowl. Normally when people look at Pro Bowl odds they give almost as much attention to the total as to the side. It is an All-Star game and people just simply want to see points scored so they take the OVER. The Pro Bowl betting odds for this game on Sunday that can be seen on ESPN have the NFC as a three point favorite and the total is 58. The Pro Bowl betting total in NFL odds might be a little bit high considering that nearly half the rosters are different than what they were intended to be. The Colts and Saints had seven players each selected to the Pro Bowl and none of their players will be participating. A laundry list of other players will also not be part of the game. With the game being moved to take place before the Super Bowl and out of Hawaii, many players simply don’t want to go. More than half of Minnesota’s elected players are not going to the game. And not going to the game is the norm this season, not the exception. Can a high scoring game in Pro Bowl NFL odds really be expected with a number of backup players? Bet the NFC as 3-point favorites against the AFC in NFL odds for the 2010 Pro Bowl or the betting total of 58 with a 10% bonus and 110% poker instant bonus. Instead of having Peyton Manning, Tom Brady and Philip Rivers at quarterback in Pro Bowl betting, the AFC has Matt Schaub, David Garrard and Vince Young. Schaub is a deserving to play in the Pro Bowl but the other two are not know for their quarterbacking success. Schaub led the league in passing yards this season but Garrard and Young were 9th and 10th in the AFC. The NFC has 20 wins in Pro Bowl odds while the AFC has 19. Normally the Pro Bowl betting total goes over but in three of the last four years the game has not reached 60 points. Bet the AFC +3 as underdogs in NFL odds against the NFC for the 2010 Pro Bowl game at 7:20pm EST on ESPN. That doesn’t seem to have stopped the NFL odds makers though as the total of 58 is still quite high for the 2010 Pro Bowl. Last year the NFC won by a score of 30-21. Two years ago they won 42-30 while in 2006 it was 23-17 for the NFC. The previous four years the teams combined to score at least 65-points per game. Pro Bowl betting will take place from the newly named Sun Life Stadium which seats about 75,000 people. The game is a sellout although tickets have almost been given away. Vegas sports odds at the MGM Mirage sportsbook have the Pro Bowl betting total sitting at 57.5 with the NFC a 2.5-point favorite. Bodog sportsbook has the Pro Bowl odds total sitting at 58 with the NFC -3 favorites over the AFC.
