NBA Picks: Boston Celtics at Orlando Magic Odds and Lines

The Orlando Magic are favored at home in NBA picks and odds over the Boston Celtics for Thursday's game on TNT.

The Boston Celtics and the Orlando Magic have the first game on the TNT basketball schedule for Thursday night as the teams meet at 8:00pm EST from the Amway Arena. NBA picks have Orlando -4 as home favorites against Boston. The Celtics defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 95-89 Monday night but couldn't cover spread as -11.5 home favorites while the betting total played UNDER the 189 in NBA lines set by online sportsbooks. Paul Pierce netted 22-points in the win while Rajon Rondo added 16-points and 12 assists and Ray Allen posted 15-points.

Both teams had to play on a slippery parquet floor at the TD Garden which caused many players to fall and even a 2-minute delay in the first quarter. "The first seven, eight minutes I didn't think we were going to even finish the game," Rivers said after the win. "I was nervous, though. I really was." Heading into tonight's TNT basketball game, Boston has won two straight games, is 29-13 straight up on the season, 17-25 against the spread in NBA odds and 4-6 after playing the Clippers.

The Orlando Magic lost to the Memphis Grizzlies 99-94 on Monday night as 2-point road favorites in NBA odds while the betting total went UNDER the 205 posted at online sportsbooks. Dwight Howard netted 27-points, 15 rebounds and 6 blocks to lead the Magic while Rashard Lewis added 19 and Vince Carter added 15 in the loss. Both teams shot under 50% from the floor but 19 turnovers by Orlando gave Memphis the ball too many times and you can't cover the spread in NBA picks with that many turnovers.

"The turnovers are creeping up, and it's every game," Magic head coach Stan Van Gundy said after the game. "It's tough because we're putting so much pressure on ourselves at the offensive end, and we're not shooting the ball great. Then when you have 18, 19, 20 turnovers every night, it's becoming a real problem." Heading into tonight's TNT basketball match-up, Orlando is 29-16 straight up, 22-21-2 against the spread in NBA odds and 4-6 after playing the Grizzlies. Vegas odds at the MGM Mirage sportsbook have the Orlando Magic -3.5 favorites against the Boston Celtics in NBA picks with a total of 189.
