NBA Picks: Orlando Magic at Los Angeles Lakers Odds and Lines

The Los Angeles Lakers are favored at home in NBA odds and picks over the Orlando Magic for Monday's game on TNT.

A rematch of last year’s NBA Finals is on TNT late tonight as the Los Angeles Lakers host the Orlando Magic at 10:30pm EST. The Lakers are 31-9 in NBA picks and even though they have had injuries this season, they look better than they were a year ago when they won it all. Conversely, the Magic do not look like the team that reached the Finals last year as they are 26-14 and in second place in the Southeast Division. The Lakers are a 6-point favorite in NBA odds at online sportsbooks with a betting lines total of 199.5.

Kobe Bryant has been playing with a broken right index finger and Pau Gasol has missed much of the season but the Lakers still have the best record in the league. Kobe had 30 points in Friday’s 126-86 rout of the Los Angeles Clippers and Gasol returned from injury and had 20 points and six rebounds in 30 minutes. Los Angeles easily covered the 10.5-point spread in NBA lines. "When we play together and we move the ball and we play defense the way we did, especially in that second half, we're a tough team to beat," said Gasol. The Orlando Magic have not been a tough team to beat lately as they have lost six of their last eight games in NBA betting odds.

"It's not pretty right now," Dwight Howard said. "But I'm not going to give up on this team, and we're not going to give up on each other." Howard has not been dominating this season. He had just 11 points in Friday’s loss to Portland and has been held to 12 points or less in seven of Orlando’s last eleven games. Orlando lost as 5.5 -point favorites in NBA lines while the total went UNDER 194 at online sportsbooks. The Magic added Vince Carter in the off-season and although he leads the team in scoring at 17.1 points per game but he is typically inconsistent. The Lakers are the best in the league at home at 23-3 in NBA picks and last season they won both games at home in the Finals against Orlando.

The Magic do have some positive NBA betting trends though. The Magic are 15-6 ATS in their last 21 vs. the Pacific Division and they are 40-19-1 ATS in their last 60 games as an underdog. The problem for Orlando is that they are 1-5 vs. the NBA lines in their last 6 road games. The Lakers are 4-0 in their last 4 games as a home favorite but they are 6-13 ATS in their last 19 vs. the Southeast. Four of the last five Orlando games have gone under the NBA odds. Against the Pacific Division, eight of their last 11 have gone under. Five of the last seven Los Angeles games have gone under. The last four games between the Magic and Lakers in Los Angeles have gone under in NBA betting. Vegas odds at the MGM Mirage sportsbook have the Los Angeles Lakers -6.5 favorites in NBA lines at home against the Orlando Magic with a total of 199.5 UNDER -115.
