NFC Wild Card: Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys Odds

The Dallas Cowboys are favorites in Saturday's NFL Wild Card odds against the Philadelphia Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys play a quick rematch in the NFC Wild Card game on Saturday night at 8:00pm EST as they just met on this same field less than a week ago to end the regular season. That game was not a good one for the Eagles as they were blown out 24-0 as 3-point underdogs in NFL odds. The loss cost the Eagles a first round bye and home field advantage. Now they have to find a way to play a lot better in the NFC Wild Card game than they did last week in order to beat the Cowboys. Dallas is a 4-point favorite in NFL odds for the NFC wild card with a total of 45 at online sportsbooks.

Nothing went right for the Eagles in last week’s loss. "They played better than we played," Philadelphia coach Andy Reid said. "They coached better than we coached. You get back to business and you do it in a very matter-of-fact way. If you get caught up in all the what ifs and this and that, then you're making a mistake.” While the Cowboys have the confidence of winning this NFC wild card game against the Eagles in NFL odds, last week they did not have the confidence of playoff success. Dallas has not won a playoff game since 1996 and even though they are playing well right now, the stigma of no playoff wins still hangs over them. Bet Dallas -4 as home favorite in NFL odds for this NFC wild card game against Philadelphia with up to a 60% deposit bonus and a 200% casino bonus.

Heading into this weekend's NFC wild card game, there could be a lot of overreaction to last week’s game going on. The Eagles had won six straight in NFL odds before last week’s loss. They were fifth in the league in points scored and considered a real threat in the NFC until last week. Dallas will be trying to beat the Eagles for the third time this season. There have been 19 previous occasions where teams met in the playoffs after one team swept the other. The team looking for the three-game sweep has gone 12-7 in those situations. That would favor Dallas except the Cowboys have failed in that situation twice in the past. This is the fourth time the Eagles and Cowboys will be meeting in the playoffs. The Eagles won in 1981 while the Cowboys won in 1993 and in 1996.

The Eagles are 5-0 ATS in NFL odds for their last 5 playoff games as an underdog. The Eagles are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 playoff road games. The Eagles are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 meetings in Dallas. The Cowboys are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games. Heading into Saturday's NFC wild card game, the Cowboys are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 playoff games. The Under is 7-2-1 in the Eagles last 10 playoff games. The Under is 4-0 in the Cowboys last 4 games as a home favorite. The Under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings in Dallas between the two teams. Bet the Eagles +4 as road underdogs against the Cowboys for Saturday's NFC wild card game on NBC.

Gordon's NFL Picks: Although this game will be a good one there is one betting trend that stands out to me. Philadelphia is 10-4 against the spread for their last fourteen games when playing on the road against Dallas. My NFC Wild Card pick will be to take Eagles on the road plus the points to the UNDER in a two-team parlay at SBG Global so I can get up to a 60% deposit bonus. Vegas odds at the Hilton sportsbook have the Dallas Cowboys -3.5 favorites against the Philadelphia Eagles with a total of 45.

SBG Global sportsbook has the Cowboys -4 favorites for the NFC Wild Card against the Eagles with a total of 45.
