![]() Two Wild Card hopefuls meet on Monday night football as the Green Bay Packers host the Baltimore Ravens at 8:35pm EST in a game that can be seen on ESPN. The Packers have won three straight in NFL odds and are in prime position to make the playoffs while the Baltimore Ravens are coming off a huge win last week against Pittsburgh that got them into the playoff picture. Green Bay is a 3.5-point home favorite in NFL betting odds with a total of 43.5 at online sportsbooks for this week's Monday night football game from Lambeau Field. The Packers come into this game with some extra rest as they played on Thanksgiving Day and routed the Detroit Lions 34-12 as 11.5-point favorites in NFL odds. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw for 348 yards and three touchdowns in the win. The Green Bay defense also played well as Charles Woodson had a big game that was good enough for him to be named NFC Defensive Player of the week. The Packers defense now leads the league in fewest yards allowed per game although they are 12th in points allowed. Baltimore got a big win against Pittsburgh last week 20-17 in overtime but didn't cover the NFL betting spread as 7.5-point favorites. The win puts the Ravens into the Wild Card picture in the AFC at 6-5. The Ravens offense has struggled in recent weeks but they do have the strong rushing attack led by Ray Rice. Joe Flacco has not been nearly as good this season as a year ago. He has thrown only two TDs in his last five games. Baltimore will look to run the ball on Monday night football but they face a Green Bay defense that is fourth in the league in fewest rushing yards allowed. One of the key factors in this Monday night football game will be the status of Baltimore linebacker Terrell Suggs. He has been out due to injury in the last two games and the Baltimore defense has missed him. The Ravens are 10th in the league in total defense and need a healthy Suggs in the lineup. The Packers and Ravens have only met three times in NFL odds with Green Bay winning two of the three. The Packers are 26-28 with one tie all-time in Monday Night football with Green Bay 11-7 at home and the Packers are 0-2 against the Ravens. The last time the two teams met on Monday Night Football was in 2005 as Baltimore won 48-3 at home. Franklin's NFL Picks: The Packers have been playing great football this season and try to win their fourth straight game in NFL odds on Monday night while the Ravens have been up and down and really don't look like a team that's ready for the playoffs. Even though the Ravens beat the Steelers last week (which isn't saying much since the Steelers lost to the Raiders on Sunday), my NFL pick for this match-up in week 13 will be to take the Packers at home laying the points to the OVER. Vegas odds at the MGM Mirage sportsbook have the Green Bay Packers -3.5 favorites against the Baltimore Ravens with a total of 42.5 for this Monday night football match-up on ESPN. |
