NFL Picks and Betting Lines - Philadelphia Eagles at Atlanta Falcons

Donovan McNabb and the Philadelphia Eagles are road favorites against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

The Philadelphia Eagles and the Atlanta Falcons will both be gunning for a victory on Sunday at 1:00pm EST when they meet at the Georgia Dome in a game that can be seen on FOX television. NFL picks currently have the Eagles listed as 5.5-point favorites against the Falcons while the game's betting total is sitting at 44. The Eagles defeated Washington 27-24 as a 10-point favorite in week 12 and the combined score went OVER the posted over/under NFL betting lines total of 40.5 at online sportsbooks.

Donovan McNabb passed for 260 yards with a touchdown and an interception for Philadelphia while leading the Eagles to their second straight 4th quarter comeback. "We knew we can do it," McNabb said after the game. "We just had to get it done." DeSean Jackson caught two passes for 41 yards and a touchdown in the win but was knocked out of the game with a concussion in the second half. The Eagles are 7-4 straight up, 6-5 against the spread in NFL lines as a favorite and 6-3-1 when playing on turf. Bet Philadelphia -5.5 as road favorites in NFL picks against the Falcons for Sunday's game on FOX.

The Falcons defeated Tampa Bay 20-17 as a 13-point favorite in week 12 NFL betting lines. The combined score fell UNDER the posted over/under total of 46 at online sportsbooks. Chris Redman passed for 243 yards with two touchdowns in place of the injured Matt Ryan for Atlanta while Roddy White had five catches for 57 yards and a touchdown. Running back Michael Turner had 12 carries for 33-yards but left the game after re-injuring his ankle in the third quarter. Atlanta is 6-5 straight-up, 7-4 against the spread in NFL picks as a favorite and 4-6 when playing in December. Bet the Falcons +5.5 as home underdogs against Philadelphia in week 13 NFL lines.

Fernandez's NFL Picks: In a game with such playoff implications, it's a shame that Atlanta will have to start Redman over Ryan and will probably not have Turner back as he missed another practice on Thursday. Even though the Dome will be rocking, Michael Vick will be back in Atlanta and the Eagles have just to much experience to lose this game. My NFL betting pick for this game on FOX is to take the Eagles on the road laying the points in NFL lines against the Falcons to the UNDER at Bodog so I can get some free casino chips! Vegas odds at the Hilton sportsbook have the Philadelphia Eagles -5.5 favorites against the Atlanta Falcons with a total of 44.
