![]() The New York Jets and Buffalo Bills will play in Toronto on Thursday at 8:20pm EST in what is considered a home game for the Bills that can be seen on the NFL Network. Although Buffalo is considered as the home team, the Jets are 3-point favorites in NFL odds. This is the second straight season the Bills will play a regular season home game at the Rogers Centre. It didn’t work out so well last year as the Bills were routed 16-3 by Miami. "I think you're always hoping to have a little bit more of an electric atmosphere for the home team," punter Brian Moorman said. "We'll see what happens with the Jets. But obviously, we'd like for the people across the border to be Bills fans." NFL picks have the New York Jets -3 favorites with a total of 36.5 at online sportsbooks. The Bills played well last week in a 31-14 home win over Miami as 3-point underdogs in NFL odds when Buffalo scored 24 fourth quarter points. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has developed some chemistry with Terrell Owens and the Bills have shown the ability to score. "It was nice for our team, I think it'll give us a boost," Fitzpatrick said. "I guess there's a renewed optimism." Interim coach Perry Fewell won his first game last week and overall he has the Bills playing more inspired than they were under Dick Jauron. Earlier this season the Bills won 16-13 at New York as Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez threw five interceptions. Sanchez threw only one interception last week in a 17-6 win over Carolina as 4-point favorites in NFL odds. The Jets won thanks to the running of Thomas Jones and a defense that held the Panthers to 179 total yards. If the Jets can get a win against the Bills they would stay in the AFC Playoff picture. "We can't focus on the future and what could happen five or six weeks down the road," fullback Tony Richardson said. "We need to focus on what's in front of us. Right now is another opportunity to go out and try to play well against a Buffalo team that really put it on Miami." The Jets are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games as a favorite. The Jets are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. the AFC. The Jets are 1-5 ATS in NFL odds for the last 6 meetings against Buffalo. The Bills are 26-10-1 ATS vs. a team with a losing record. The underdog is 20-7 ATS in the last 27 meetings between New York and Buffalo. The Over is 3-1-1 in the Jets last 5 games overall. The Under is 5-2 in the Bills last 7 games overall. The Under is 3-1-1 in NFL betting odds for the last 5 meetings between the two teams. Bergen's NFL Picks: Although my heart will always be with the J-E-T-S, my money will always be on the team that has the best chance of winning. After what I saw the Bills do last week to Miami, I'm going to have to start Terrell Owens on my fantasy team and will be taking the Bills +3 as underdogs in NFL picks. Vegas odds at the MGM Mirage sportsbook have the New York Jets 3-point favorites in betting odds against the Buffalo Bills with a total of 37. |
