Earlier this month, the Denver Broncos were 6-0 in NFL betting odds and one of the big surprises in the NFL. After four straight losses, the Broncos now trail the San Diego Chargers in the AFC West and are in danger of falling out of the playoff picture. The New York Giants have already been in Denver’s situation as they won their first five games and then lost their next four. Last week the Giants bounce back and defeated the Atlanta Falcons in overtime to break their losing streak. The Giants are favored by a touchdown in NFL odds on Thursday night in a game that can be seen on the NFL Network. The Broncos may be down but head coach Josh McDaniels and quarterback Kyle Orton think they can turn things around on Thursday night. The Denver offense has been terrible of late but they may be able to move the ball against a New York defense that allowed 24 second half points to Atlanta last week. In fact, this could be a high scoring game in NFL betting odds considering the Giants offense got going last week as Eli Manning threw for 384 yards and three touchdowns last week. Denver has not played well on Thanksgiving Day in the past. They lost three years ago to Kansas City and overall they are 2-8 on Thanksgiving. The Giants are 7-5 all-time on Thanksgiving but they have not played on that day since 1992. The Giants lead this all-time series 5-4 with the last meeting between the two occurring four years ago when the Giants won 24-23 at home. The home team in this series is 7-2 in NFL odds. Bet the Giants -7 as road favorites against the Broncos on Thanksgiving Day. New York will look for another big game from Eli Manning. In the last two weeks, Manning has thrown for 599 yards, five touchdowns and just one interception. The Giants will look for running back Brandon Jacobs to complement Manning on Thursday. They are not likely to have Ahmad Bradshaw though as he has an ankle injury. Denver will be looking for quarterback Kyle Orton to play well this week. He played on a bad ankle last week but was just 15-of-29 passes for 171 yards and an interception. A key fumble by Knowshon Moreno hurt the Broncos last week in NFL odds but to win this game against the Giants they will need Moreno and Correll Buckhalter to run effectively. This should be the best of the Thanksgiving Day games in NFL betting odds with the Broncos in desperate need of a win while the Giants look to stay close to Dallas in the NFC East. Franklin's NFL Picks: I love me a home underdog and even though the Broncos have been going through a rough time, I think they will be able to pull it together today and pull out the victory at home... with the points that is. My NFL pick for this game on the NFL Network is to take the Broncos at home plus the points in NFL odds against the Giants to the UNDER at Bodog so I can get some free casino chips! Vegas odds at the MGM Mirage sportsbook have the New York Giants -5 favorites against the Denver Broncos with a total of 42.5 for the last of three Thanksgiving Day NFL football games. Bodog sportsbook has the Giants -7 favorites in NFL betting odds against the Broncos with a total of 42.5.
