Monday Night Football NFL Odds - Tennessee Titans at Houston Texans

Titans at Texans - 8:35pm EST on ESPN

If their first meeting is any indication, Monday night football on ESPN at 8:35pm EST could be a good one as the Houston Texans host the Tennessee Titans. The teams last met in NFL odds back in week 2 and the Texans came away with a thrilling 34-31 victory. The Texans are 5-4 in the AFC and right in the middle of the playoff picture while Tennessee is 3-6 and red-hot having won three straight. Houston is a 4-point favorite in NFL odds for Monday night football with a total of 48 at online sportsbooks.

The Titans are 3-0 since making the change to quarterback Vince Young. Running back Chris Johnson has run over opposing teams in recent weeks and that has made things pretty easy for Young. Johnson has 495 yards rushing and six touchdowns in the last three games. He leads the league in rushing and the Titans lead the league in yards per carry. In the first meeting against Houston, Johnson had 197 yards and two touchdowns. The Texans are coming off their bye week which was needed after they blew a game at Indianapolis the previous week.

Kris Brown missed the game tying field goal and the Texans limped into their bye week after another disappointing loss in NFL betting. Houston is sixth in the NFL in total offense led by quarterback Matt Schaub. He has thrown for 2653 yards this season to go along with 17 touchdowns. He does have 9 interceptions though and must avoid turning the ball over on Monday. His favorite target is Anthony Johnson who had 149 yards and two touchdowns in the previous meeting against Tennessee. Tennessee has won 11 of the 15 all-time meetings against Houston. The Titans are 4-0 ATS in NFL betting odds for their last 4 games in November.

The Titans are 16-7 ATS in their last 23 games as an underdog. The Titans are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 road games. Heading into this week 11 Monday night football game, the underdog is 9-3 ATS in the last 12 meetings between the two teams. The Texans are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. the AFC South. Houston is 2-5 ATS in NFL odds for the last 7 meetings against Tennessee. The Over is 4-0 in the Titans last 4 road games. The Under is 5-1 in the Texans last 6 games overall. The Over is 6-1 in the last 7 meetings between Houston and Tennessee.

Bergen's NFL Picks: Who would have thought the Texans would have a modest 5-4 record heading into week 11 Monday night football and who would have thought they would be favored against the Titans who have won three straight games. All the NFL betting handicappers are jumping on Houston at home but I'm jumping on the back of Chris Johnson. Just to be safe, my NFL pick for this match-up in week 11 will be to take the Titans on the road plus the points to the OVER. Vegas odds at Caesars sportsbook have the Houston Texans -4 favorites against the Tennessee Titans with a total of 49 for this match-up on ESPN.
