NFL Lines and Odds - Philadelphia Eagles at Chicago Bears

Donovan McNabb and the Philadelphia Eagles travel to play the Chicago Bears on Sunday night football.

A critical game in the NFC gets the spotlight on Sunday night football at 8:20pm EST on NBC television as the Chicago Bears host the Philadelphia Eagles. Both teams have lost two straight in NFL lines and badly need a win. Philadelphia is a 3-point favorite in NFL odds at online sportsbooks with a total of 45. The Bears had a chance to win last week against San Francisco but quarterback Jay Cutler threw five interceptions in the 10-6 loss. He now has 17 interceptions to lead the league. Philadelphia’s Donovan McNabb has not been much better although he is throwing for a lot of yards. McNabb has been throwing the ball more since the Eagles have no running game without running back Brian Westbrook. Rookie LeSean McCoy has been okay but the team is simply not the same without Westbrook.

The Wild Card race in the NFC is very competitive with four teams at 5-4 while the Bears are a game back at 4-5. Chicago is in a virtual must-win situation but to win they are going to have to find a way to run the ball. The Bears are averaging just 85.2 rushing yards per game this season. They will also have to avoid turning the ball over which has been a huge problem this season. The good news for Chicago is that they are 26-8-1 against the Eagles in NFL lines all-time and they have won the last two meetings. Bet the Eagles -3.5 as road favorites in NFL odds against the Bears for Sunday night football.

The Eagles have been solid in NFL betting lines against NFC teams. The Eagles are 12-5 ATS in their last 17 vs. the NFC. The Eagles are only 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games in November. The road team in this series is 5-2 vs. the NFL odds in the last 7 meetings. The Bears are 4-1 vs. the NFL odds in their last 5 games as a home underdog. Chicago also struggles in November as they are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games in November. The underdog is 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings between the Eagles and Bears. Eight of the last ten Philadelphia games have gone over the NFL lines total. Four of their last five on the road overall have gone over. The last four times the Bears were an underdog the game went under the total. Surprisingly, 22 of the last 32 Chicago home games have gone over the total. Bet the Bears +3.5 as home underdogs in NFL betting lines for Sunday night football against Philadelphia.

Lanning's NFL Picks: The Bears have been playing typical Chicago football and lost to the 49ers last week. Jay Cutler is throwing interceptions left and right while Donovan McNabb seems to be finding his groove. My NFL pick for Sunday night football on NBC is to take the Eagles on the road laying the points in NFL odds against the Bears to the UNDER at Bodog so I can get some free casino chips!
