The unbeaten superstar filly Zenyatta has made the 2009 Breeders Cup betting odds interesting. The filly will challenge the boys in the Breeders Cup Classic on Saturday and the early Breeders Cup predictions have her as the +275 favorite. Zenyatta is a perfect 13 for 13 in her career but she has never faced males. It may not matter if she races as she has in the past. The horse will break from post position #4 and be ridden by Hall of Fame jockey Mike Smith. Owners Jerry and Ann Moss and trainer John Shirreffs have definately made this year’s Breeders Cup odds interesting because they decided to enter Zenyatta in the Classic. "She deserved the chance," Jerry Moss said. "Based on her last couple works she has certainly shown us she's ready to perform. "I don't think it's about any titles. It's just not about that. It's about giving this horse, who is perhaps one of the greatest gifts we've ever been given, a chance to really show how great she can really be. And we believe this is within her reach." There have been three fillies in the past who have tried to win in Breeders Cup odds and all lost. Azeri was fifth in 2004. Back in 1992 it was Jolypha finishing third while Triptych was sixth in 1986. Bet Zenyatta +275 to win in 2009 Breeders Cup predictions at online racebooks. Other trainers are happy about Zenyatta being in the race even though they know their chances of winning in 2009 Breeders Cup betting is lessened. "The Breeders' Cup should be very thankful she's in there," said trainer Bob Baffert, "I think it's great they're running her even though I have to run against her. It's the best thing they could do for the sport right now and ... if she were to win it, I think they should give both (Zenyatta and Rachel Alexandra) Horse of the Year." Zenyatta has a huge closing kick that has seen her come from behind to win all 13 of her races heading into this year's Breeders Cup predictions. It won’t be easy for Zenyatta though as she has never gone a mile and a quarter. The pace could also be a problem unless another horse goes fast. That doesn’t mean she can’t win though in Breeders Cup odds. "I think if she can pull this off, she'll not only go down as one of the best mares of all time, but she should go down as one of the best horses of all time," said jockey Mike Smith, "It will definitely be her toughest race by far." Zenyatta could have gone in the Ladies’ Classic on Friday but her presence in the Breeders Cup Classic is a lot more appealing to race fans everywhere. She is the +275 favorite to win in Breeders Cup predictions followed by Rip Van Winkle at +225 and Summer Bird at +600. Franklin's Breeders Cup Picks: So the unbeaten philly is favored in Breeders Cup odds going up against the big boys in a mile and a quarter? The racebook odds makers are in love with Zenyatta but watch out for Rip Van Winkle. My 2009 Breeders Cup prediction is to pair Mike Smith and Zenyatta in a few exacta and trifectas with Summer Bird, Rip Van Winkle and Mine That Bird at BetUS racebook.
