Week 5 NFL Odds Update -- Giants fans will have to wait and see if quarterback Eli Manning will play this Sunday at home against the Oakland Raiders before making their bets on week 5 NFL odds. Manning was kept out of practice today so he can continue treatment on his right foot from plantar fasciitis which is an inflammatory condition that effects approximately two million Americans year. In a press conference today, coach Tom Coughlin said he is making progress with the rehabilitation and the inflammation is down but is still being evaluated and will probably be a game time decision for this Sunday’s match-up in NFL odds against the Raiders. If Manning cannot go against the Raiders, back-up quarterback David Carr will be behind center taking the snaps. Carr will be playing with the first-team in practice on Wednesday in preparation for that possibility. The NFL odds currently have the Giants -15.5 favorites at online sportsbooks but that number is expected to drop if Manning does not play. Most sportsbooks have the Raiders vs. Giants off the board; Vegas odds at Caesars sportsbook have the Giants -16 with a total of 38.5 Week 5 NFL odds at SBG Global sportsbook have the Giants -15.5 against the Packers with a total of 38.5.
