![]() The San Francisco Giants will try and keep their Wild Card hopes alive as they visit the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday at 10:10pm EST on ESPN. The Giants hopes are slim but to have any chance, San Francisco must continue to take care of the Diamondbacks in MLB betting odds. San Francisco sends Jonathan Sanchez to the mound on Wednesday against Arizona’s Kevin Mulvey. Sanchez is 6-12 on the season with a 4.29 ERA while Mulvey is 0-1 with a high ERA of 10.95. The Giants really haven’t been able to trust Sanchez this season but they need him on Wednesday in MLB betting odds. He has done well in his career against Arizona’s best hitter Mark Reynolds who is batting just .188 against him. Mulvey has been shelled in his two starts for Arizona in MLB betting odds. He has allowed 10 runs in just eight innings of work. He came over from the Twins recently after going 5-8 with a 3.93 ERA in 24 starts for Triple-A Rochester. Before last night’s game the Giants had won eight of the last twelve games against the Diamondbacks. Even though the Giants have won most of the games against Arizona, they are not easy wins. Only three of the games have been decided by more than two runs. Bergen's MLB Picks: Mulvey is 0-1 with an ERA of 10.95 and I don't expect him to do much better on Wednesday against the Giants. My MLB pick is to take the Giants and Sanchez on the road. Vegas odds at the MGM Mirage sportsbook have the Giants -135 favorites against the Diamondbacks +115 with a total of 9.5.
