*Updated 2010 Super Bowl Odds*

Optimism is high in Seattle for the 2009 season in Super Bowl odds as the Seattle Seahawks attempt to rebound from a very bad 4-12 season in sports odds a year ago. New head coach Jim Mora Jr. has instilled a sense of focus and enthusiasm in the Seahawks that was missing under Mike Holmgren a year ago.

The Seahawks will be much improved with a healthy Matt Hasselbeck and some new talent. Seattle is 40-1 in NFL odds to win the Super Bowl at online sportsbooks. The offense is led by Hasselbeck who is finally healthy after dealing with injuries last season.

He is a former Pro Bowler and if he regains his form the Seahawks will be tough to beat in NFL odds. He now has a top receiver in T.J. Houshmandzadeh who the team got from Cincinnati.

NFL odds at Bodog sportsbook currently have the Seattle Seahawks 40-1 to win Super Bowl XLIV.

The Seahawks have a solid running game with Julius Jones and T.J. Duckett. The Seattle receiving corps actually looks really good this season for the first time in a long while. Getting Houshmandzadeh was huge and he will combine with Deion Branch and Nate Burleson to give Hasselbeck a lot of solid threats down the field.

Seattle also has a very good tight end in John Carlson who led the team with 55 catches a year ago.

The offensive line is led by 35-year-old Walter Jones, who is coming off knee surgery. The rest of the line has questions although it looks like Max Unger is helping that situation as he looks to start. Also in the mix are Chris Spencer, Rob Sims, Sean Locklear and Mike Wahle.

The defense should be improved the season with the addition of first round pick Aaron Curry from Wake Forest. He is going to start and make an immediate impact in NFL betting for Seattle. The defensive line has Colin Cole, Cory Redding, Brandon Mebane and Patrick Kerney.

The linebackers are very good led by Curry, Leroy Hill and Lofa Tatupu.

NFL odds to win the NFC at Bodog sportsbook have the Seattle Seahawks 18-1.

The secondary does need some work. The safeties are Deon Grant and Brian Russell while the corners are Marcus Trufant and Josh Wilson. There will be a battle to see who the kicker is between Brandon Coutu and Orlando Mare. Jon Ryan is a very good punter.

Seattle is a team to watch this season in the NFC in NFL betting odds. They have a real chance to make the playoffs and be much improved. They are 2-1 in NFL betting odds to win the NFC West this season at Bodog sportsbook.
