Long time head coach Bobby Bowden has two more years left before he retires and turns the reigns over to Jimbo Fisher and he has said that he wants to win another title in BCS odds before he retires. Is it possible? Yes. Is it likely? No.

The Florida State Seminoles are getting some respect in college football odds at sportsbooks though as they are 21-1 in BCS odds to win the national title this season.

The Seminoles finished last season ranked #21 in the last AP poll and that was the highest they had been ranked since 2004.

They should move higher this year in college football odds with seven offensive starters returning including quarterback Christian Ponder.

Future head coach and current offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher has done a nice job and the offense should roll in 2009. Ponder is back to lead an offense that was the best in the ACC Conference last year.

College football odds to win the 2010 BCS at Bodog sportsbook currently have FSU 21-1.

There is no question that Ponder will be improved from last season when he threw 14 TD’s but also threw 13 interceptions. The running game loses Antone Smith but might be better anyway. Jermaine Thomas and Ty Jones are back and Thomas is a dual threat running and catching the ball.

The receiving corps doesn’t look that great in college football odds but at least they have Bert Reed returning. Rod Owens and Richard Goodman are also back. Jarmon Fortson, Louis Givens and Cameron Wade could be in the mix. Tight end Caz Piurowski should get a lot of action this season.

The offensive line for Florida State is great with two All-America candidates in left guard Rodney Hudson and center Ryan McMahon. All five starters return with Andrew Datko, Zebrie Sanders and David Spurlock rounding things out.

The defense has some question marks when looking at BCS odds. The defensive line is simply not going to be as good without Everette Brown. Kendrick Stewart, Budd Thacker and Justin Mincey are back but none are very good on the inside. Newcomers Jacobbi McDaniel and Demonte McAllister could easily see time. Markus White and Kevin McNeil are back at ends and that helps.

The linebackers are led by Dekoda Watson who is a future NFL top pick. Kendall Smith and Nigel Bradham also return. The secondary was great least season but lost a lot. Free safety Jamie Robinson and cornerback Patrick Robinson return.

College football odds to win the ACC conference at Bodog sportsbook have Florida State 5/2.

Ochuko Jenije and sophomore Dionte Allen will also get playing time. Newcomers Greg Reid, Jajuan Harley and Justin Bright could immediately get playing time. The Seminoles lost their starting kicker and punter so that hurts.

Florida State has a lot of talent but they may be a year away from seriously contending for a national title despite their relatively low college football odds at sportsbooks.
