If you are Texas Tech you just reload and make two more players into stars. Head coach Mike Leach has turned no-name players into All-Americans with his wide open offense in the past and he could do it again in 2009 sports odds. The Red Raiders will definitely miss quarterback Graham Harrell and receiver Michael Crabtree but they always seem to find a way to come up with players who put up big numbers. College football odds on Texas Tech are long as the Red Raiders are listed at 60-1 in BCS odds to win the national title this season. The newest star at Texas Tech will be quarterback Taylor Potts. He has a big arm and should do well with a nice backfield and some good receivers. Detron Lewis and Ed Britton are not going to be as good as Crabtree but few players are. Lyle Leong had offseason ankle surgery but he was a high school teammate of Potts and could become a big part of the offense this year. College football odds at Bodog sportsbook to win the 2010 BCS currently have Texas Tech 60-1. Tech may not have Crabtree but head coach Mike Leach says this year’s group of receivers is better than last year’s so watch out. The running game is solid with Baron Batch, Aaron Crawford and redshirt freshman Harrison Jeffers. Crawford always seems to be hurt so Jeffers could be an important part of the offense this season. The offensive line took some hits but Brandon Carter is back as is Shawn Byrnes and Marlon Winn. The defense is always a problem at Texas Tech and 2009 will be no different in college football odds. They have no pass rush especially since McKinner Dixon was suspended. The good news for Tech in college football odds is that the linebackers are very good. Brian Duncan led the team in tackles last year and is probably the best player on the team. Bront Bird, Blake Collier and Marlon Williams also return. Senior cornerback Jamar Wall returns to lead the secondary but there are a lot of question marks back there. Brent Nickerson and LaRon Moore will compete for the other corner spot while the safeties are really green. Defense is going to be a huge problem again for Texas Tech in 2009 in college football odds. Texas Tech has no kicker so that doesn’t help their cause either. College football odds to win the Big 12 Conference at Bodog sportsbook have Texas Tech 12-1. The non-conference schedule for Texas Tech is easy with games against Houston, North Dakota, New Mexico and Rice. Reality sets in with road games at Texas and Nebraska. They also host Oklahoma in a game they probably can’t win and the game at Oklahoma State will not be easy. The Red Raiders are not going to match last year’s 11 win season on college football odds but if Potts steps right in and plays great then the Red Raiders could have a winning season and might make it worth while in BCS odds.

What does a team do if they lose their record setting quarterback and superstar receiver?
