*Updated 2010 Super Bowl Odds* A lot of excitement surrounds the 2009 Buffalo Bills as they added the flamboyant Terrell Owens in the off-season. While the addition of Owens helps the Bills, they are still 45-1 to win in 2009 Super Bowl odds. Adding Owens in the off-season is a big move since the Bills will now have another receiver to go along with Lee Evans. If quarterback Trent Edwards can stay healthy, the Bills have a chance to be potent on offense and make a run in 2009 Super Bowl odds. The Bills have a decent running attack with Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson but Lynch will miss the first three games of the season due to a suspension. Buffalo did add Dominick Rhodes in the off-season so he should be a good replacement for Lynch for the first few games. What does hurt Buffalo on offense in Super Bowl odds is the loss of offensive lineman Jason Peters who they traded to Philadelphia. Super Bowl odds at Bodog sportsbook currently have the Buffalo Bills 50-1 to win Super Bowl XLIV. The Bills have some definite concerns on defense. They were just 22nd against the run last season. They did go for defense in the draft though, taking Penn State defensive end Aaron Maybin. A huge key for Buffalo will be keeping Aaron Schobel healthy. He missed 11 games last season and it decimated their defense. The linebackers are led by Paul Posluszny as he combined with Kawika Mitchell to pressure opposing quarterbacks. The secondary was pretty good for Buffalo last year with Leodis McKelvin and Terrance McGee and the Bills drafted Jarius Byrd who they expect to step right in at free safety. Head coach Dick Jauron could be in his last year at Buffalo if the Bills don’t make the playoffs. Another .500 or below season is not going to cut in Buffalo this season. The problem for the Bills is two-fold. They play in the AFC East which means they have to deal with the New England Patriots while the Dolphins and Jets are no bargains either. Buffalo has the sixth-toughest schedule in the NFL for 2009. Super Bowl odds to win the AFC Conference at Bodog sportsbook currently have the Buffalo Bills 20-1. The other problem for Buffalo is that they have no depth. An injury to Edwards would be crushing since the backup quarterback is Ryan Fitzpatrick. There is also very little depth at any other key positions. A lot of things will have to go just right for the Bills to finish above .500 and make the playoffs in 2009 Super Bowl odds. Another 7-9 or 8-8 season is more likely.
