![]() The biggest event in UFC history, UFC 100 betting takes place on Saturday night from Las Vegas and features a heavyweight bout between Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir for the heavyweight title. This is only Lesnar’s fifth career fight but he is a solid favorite at -265 while Mir is +205 at Bodog sportsbook. UFC 100 is expected to be the biggest pay-per-view event in UFC history as more than a million people are expected to tune in. The highlight of the night could be the Lesnar-Mir bout in UFC 100 betting. While Lesnar doesn’t have a lot of experience in his four fights he hasn’t fought many stiffs either. He has faced two former world champions and a Pride veteran. Lesnar was a great collegiate wrestler at Minnesota and is very powerful. Lesnar pounded Randy Couture and Heath Herring and two of his three wins have come by knockout while his lone loss was to Mir by submission. Lesnar was dominating that bout until getting caught in a leg lock. The only concern for Lesnar is his submission defense but reports say he has improved that area of his fighting. Lesnar also said he is a far better fighter than he was the first time he faced Mir. “I've improved dramatically," Lesnar said. UFC 100 betting odds definitely point to Lesnar as he is more than a 2-1 favorite. Mir has a professional record of 12-3 with two wins coming by way of knockout and seven wins coming by submission. If Mir is to upset Lesnar he will probably have to catch him in a hold and win by submission. He can’t trade shots with Lesnar and expect to win. UFC 100 betting also includes other great bouts on Saturday. The UFC Welterweight title is on the line as George St. Pierre is a -260 favorite against Thiago Alves. Other intriguing bouts have Dan Henderson favored against Michael Bisping, Stephan Bonnar favored over Mark Coleman, Yoshihiro Akiyama favored against Alan Belcher, Jon Fitch a huge favorite against Paulo Thiago, Dong Hyun Kim favored against TJ Grant, Jon Jones a big favorite against Jake O’Brien, Shannon Gugerty a small favorite against Matt Grice, Jim Miller favored against Mac Danzig and CB Dollaway favored against Tom Lawlor. |
