![]() Jimmie Johnson and Tony Stewart are the two favorites in LifeLock 400 betting. Johnson is 9-2 while Stewart is 11-2 in NASCAR betting odds. The Lifelock 400 will get underway on Saturday at 7:30pm EST from the Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Illinois and be televised by TNT. The defending race champion is Kyle Busch and he is a contender in LifeLock 400 odds at 7-1. He won the race from the pole last year as he caught Johnson on the final lap. Busch won both the Cup and Nationwide races at Chicagoland last year. "Winning both races at Chicago last year, it was just a great weekend," Busch said. “But winning Chicago last year and beating Jimmie was definitely neat. Ultimately, I have a lot of respect for him, Jeff Gordon and anybody in this sport since it's so competitive. To go out and beat guys like that, it's something that's pretty special, and I really cherished that, for sure." Stewart won the race two years ago while Jeff Gordon won in 2006. Stewart is red-hot this year and leads the points race by 180 over Gordon. Stewart has six top-five finishes in this race. Gordon has a win and four top-five finishes at Chicago. It is hard to argue with Johnson being the favorite in NASCAR odds this week. In the last seven years he has finished 2nd, 37th, 6th, 3rd, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Johnson has never won at Chicagoland and this could be the year. Chevrolet has won this race six of the last eight years. Usually a top five starting spot is not the way to win this race but last year Kyle Busch broke that trend. It is the only time a winner has come from the Top 5 starting spots since this race began in 2001. Carl Edwards is 10-1 in Lifelock 400 betting odds and he could be contender this week. "Last year we were running away with the race and we had a little trouble, the splitter broke and we ended up falling back," said Edwards, "We run really well at Chicago, and I feel like there's a good chance for us to get our first win of the season there. If not a win, our No. 1 goal is to consistently be in the top five like we've been running lately and gain some more points." |
