![]() The Philadelphia Phillies (39-34) look to continue their dominance of the Atlanta Braves (35-40) as they open up a three-game series on Tuesday at 7:10pm EST. The Phillies have one of the strangest home/road records in recent memory as they have been poor at home in MLB betting odds but great on the road. That home/road dichotomy also applies to facing the Braves. They have lost four of the last six home games in MLB odds to Atlanta but they won all nine games at Turner Field last year and have won 17 of the last 20 in Atlanta. The Phillies are expected to get shortstop Jimmy Rollins back into the starting lineup on Tuesday. He was benched for four games so he could get his head clear and hopefully out of a season-long slump. He is hitting just .211 with six homers and 27 RBIs. "I felt it was very important to let him sit over there and kind of get a clear mind when I put him back there so he's fresh," manager Charlie Manuel said. "He's starting all over. That's why I wanted to do it. I think it's going to help. We'll see the way he performs and the way he goes about playing." The Phillies go with Joe Blanton on Tuesday. He is 4-4 on the season with a 5.06 ERA but has pitched well of late going 0-1 with a 3.20 ERA in his last four starts. He has not pitched well in his career against the Braves, going 0-1 with a 9.64 ERA. Atlanta had lost four straight until Sunday’s 2-1 win over Boston. Derek Lowe will try and continue the success that rookie Tommy Hanson had on Sunday. Lowe is 7-6 with a 4.53 ERA this year. He has not pitched well of late including last Thursday’s disaster against the Yankees when he gave up 11 hits and eight runs. "Terrible," Lowe said. "Three in a row. Obviously, (Thursday) was a disaster." He is 5-0 with a 2.14 ERA in his last seven starts against the Phillies.Vegas MLB betting odds at the MGM Mirage sportsbook have the Braves -130 favorites against the Phillies +110 with a betting total of 8.5 OVER -130.
