For the second time in the last 11 days it will be Toronto FC and New York meeting at BMO Field. For the second time in the last 11 days it will be Toronto FC (5-5-4) and the New York Red Bulls (2-10-4) meeting in MLS betting odds at BMO Field. The Reds won on June 13th by a score of 2-1 and will be trying to get above the .500 mark with another win against the Red Bulls on Wednesday at 7:30pm EST. New York is coming off a 1-1 draw against Seattle on Saturday that ended a five-game losing streak. Toronto has not played a league game since the win against New York although they did defeat Montreal to win the Canadian Championship last Thursday.

Toronto is in a three-way tie for third place in the Eastern Conference with Columbus and Kansas City. The win for Toronto against New York was important because the Reds had gotten just one goal over their previous three matches. "We've been questioning ourselves to see if we can grind out results, and we showed today that we can do it. It wasn't a pretty game but we ground a result out and the most important thing today was the three points," coach Chris Cummins said. New York was able to get a 1-1 draw with Seattle in their last match but they still only have 10 points from 16 matches on the season. "I thought we had a good first half except for the last minute. I thought we had the better chances. Unfortunately, we conceded again. It was a very soft goal and it cost us dearly today," head coach Juan Carlos Osorio said. Danny Cepero played well in net making five saves including a big one late.

"That's what I get paid to do as a soccer player," Cepero said. "You have to perform every night. Those are the saves that I'm expected to make." Toronto and New York have met seven times in MLS betting history and the teams have split those meetings 3-3-1. At BMO Field it is Toronto with two wins, New York with one and one match ended in a draw. In the last meeting on June 13th that Toronto won 2-1 it was Sam Cronin scoring on a penalty kick and Danny Dichio adding the second tally. Albert Celades scored for New York but the Red Bulls could not get the equalizer and lost for the 20th consecutive time on the road in regular-season play which is an MLS record. The Red Bulls are 0-14-6 on the road in league play since a 2-1 win last May 10 at Los Angeles.
