NBA Finals Odds - Lakers at Magic Game 5 NBA Finals Odds

The Orlando Magic saw Game 4 sowly slip away as 2-point underdogs in NBA odds when Derek Fisher hit a three pointer over Jameer Nelson to send the game into overtime on Thursday.

As it has been predicted, Kobe Bryant is determined to win his fourth NBA title and the Los Angeles Lakers are happy to do everything they can on assisting him to the win.

The Orlando Magic saw Game 4 slowly slip away as 2-point underdogs in NBA finals betting odds when Derek Fisher hit a three pointer over Jameer Nelson to send the game into overtime on Thursday.

Instead of fouling with 10.8 second left on the clock, the Magic decide to let Fisher shoot the three pointer which sent the game into overtime.

The Magic would eventually lose 99-91 putting themselves in a 3-1 deficit instead of tying the series at 2-2.

There has been no team in NBA history that has come back to win down 3-1 but NBA finals odds still favor the Magic at home in Game 5.

The Magic will fight to keep the finals alive Saturday night from the Amway Arena in Orlando at 8:00pm EST on ABC.

“It was my decision with 11 seconds not to foul,” said Magic coach Stan Van Gundy after the Game 4 defeat at home.

“Yes I regret it now, but only in retrospect. I mean, normally to me 11 is too early. You foul, they make two free throws, [they] cut it to one [and] you’re still at six or seven seconds.”

That decision along with choosing to skip over Rafer Alston and go with Jameer Nelson in the fourth quarter has many of the Orlando fans questioning the coach’s decisions.

Jameer Nelson has just returned from a four month injury with serious shoulder surgery and really hasn't made an impact in the minutes he has played in NBA finals odds. Nelson finished with 26 minutes with 2 points and 3 assists in Game 4.

"I thought we had a very, very bad third quarter, and then it wasn't so much one guy over the other,'' Van Gundy said.

"It was just we had a unit in the fourth quarter that I thought was playing real well. And then you get down to the point where Rafer hasn't played in 10 or 12 minutes. I thought it would be hard to bring him back. Jameer wasn't doing a whole lot, but he also wasn't hurting us at all. The unit had played pretty well so that's why I stayed with it.''

Not to be outdone in decision making, resident Zen master and Lakers head coach Phil Jackson was fined $25,000 on Saturday for criticising NBA officials on camera between the 1st and 2nd periods of Game 4. Jackson used the word “bogus” to describe many of the calls the referees made against his big men.

If the Lakers can win Game 5 tonight as 3.5-point underdogs in NBA finals odds, Jackson will win his 10th title and break the tie with legendary Celtics coach Red Auerbach as the head coach with the most championship wins in NBA history.
