If you want a real longshot why not take a flyer on Greg Norman. He loves Augusta, has always played well there, and offers amazing value at 200-1 in Masters betting.

It is no surprise to see Tiger Woods as the heavy favorite to win in 2009 Masters odds. What might surprise you though is how much value you can get on some of the biggest names in golf other than Woods.

Tiger Woods is +180 in 2009 Masters odds and the only other golfer with single digit odds is Phil Mickelson at 8-1.

Geoff Ogilvy and Padraig Harrington are the third choices at 16-1 each. While Woods is a popular choice in Masters odds but he is not the only golfer with a chance to win.

Keep in mind that Woods has only won the Masters once in the past six years.

Mickaelson has won the Masters twice in the past five years but his play is so erratic he could either win or miss the cut.

The real value in Masters odds for 2009 is with the young stars. Ireland’s Rory Mclroy is considered the future star of golf and this will be his first Masters. Mclroy is 25-1 and has a legitimate chance to win in Masters betting.

Anthony Kim is one of the top young golfers in the world today and Masters odds on Kim are a mouth watering 35-1. It is also the first Masters for Kim.

17-year old Ryo Ishikawa of Japan and New Zealand’s Danny Lee who is 18 years old probably don’t have the experience yet to win in Masters betting but they should be exciting to watch.

Only once in Masters’ history has a golfer won the Masters in his first try (Fuzzy Zoeller in 1979) but Kim and McIlroy definitely have a chance.

If you prefer to look for more experience as you bet Masters odds there are a lot of golfers who offer value. Last year’s champion Trevor Immelman is 65-1 in Masters odds.

Former winner Vijay Singh is 60-1 while 2007 winner, Zach Johnson and Sergio Garcia are 30-1. Last week’s winner on the PGA Tour, Paul Casey is 25-1 as is Retief Goosen in Masters odds.

Big names like Ernie Els and Adam Scott are intriguing values in Masters odds as they are 35-1 and 70-1 respectively. Jim Furyk and Justin Rose are 60-1 while K.J. Choi is 80-1.

If you want a real longshot why not take a flyer on Greg Norman. He loves Augusta, has always played well there, and offers amazing value at 200-1 in Masters betting.

So the Tiger Woods apology came today… but did he really apologize or was it just a press conference statement? Isn’t everything that he read just a carefully wrote script that to me at times even seemed to be badly written? Did he actually flash one of those "Tiger" smiles of success when all was said and done? I think John Daly got it right when he said “Tiger--where is your wedding ring? Most Important I would think
